Number six… how does this happen, how did I get so lucky?
That’s twelve Ceremonies counting Opening and Closing’s. I have never felt stronger in my life, as if every moment has worked my muscles and challenged my brain to offer and give more to prepare me for Torino´s success.
I lOVE the Italians! The food, the language, the laughter. Using the skills and systems that Judy, Ron and I created back in Barcelona and having streamlined them so that every aspect of the show that I had a hand in: from creation of creativity, to the auditions, to the casting, setting up rehearsals, work-shopping, directing, choreographing, motivating, and giving it all away to the world wrapped in a BIG, Red White and Green bow.
The Italian volunteers were the easiest to work with; they had a joy and a humility that made rehearsals such fun. When the work was done… it was always a team victory… it was a big family affair. I feel still as if I am a part of that family… I do hope to go back soon. “NDUMA Torino”!!
